MEETINGS

Join us on Saturday, January 10 at 3pm for our first meeting of the year. Our meetings will be held in Bellevue, Washington. You will receive the location after you register.

On the day of the meeting, please place your registration slip face down in the lobby box. All songs and compositions will be played on a first-come-first-served basis. We normally have only enough time for one song/composition each. We should have time for everyone, so please be a little early to secure your seat. Follow the guidelines below:

COMPOSERS

In the past, we limited our playing time to the typical 3-minutes (which is the time for most radio songs). In order to adapt to longer compositions, please follow the guidelines below:

  • If you have a long composition, either bring in an excerpt of no longer than 5 minutes; or we can start at the beginning of your piece, and let it run for 5 minutes. Either way!
  • Bring your music as a file on your phone, on a CD, or a link from your website. We will let you bring up the file on your phone or device, then we will use our adapters to hook up to a speaker system. If you prefer to play a CD, we will have a player at the meeting.
  • Please come prepared to give us a backstory to your music, and how you envision it being used in the future.
  • If your composition includes lyrics or voice-over, you are welcome to use lyrics in any language, but we request that you have a translation ready for members to read.  Please bring 10 copies. We will return your lyrics after we play your music.

SONGWRITERS:

  • If you want to sing your song live, bring your favorite guitar or a backing track for your song (on your phone or CD), and we can hook it up to speakers.
  • We will have a guitar on hand, in case you cannot bring yours in.
  • We will provide a keyboard for your use, if you are a keyboard player.
  • Please bring in 10 lyric sheets. These will be returned to you at the end of your song.

REFRESHMENTS

We will provide coffee, tea, bottled water and a light fruit snack (That’s It).

OPPORTUNITIES

We will also be expanding our opportunity resources, and give you even more information on finding opportunities, submitting your music, and presenting yourself and your music in the best way possible.  We will be posting  these opportunities at the first meeting of the year.
